NIO Designated as Proud Member of Green Car Park of COP29

November 12, 2024, Baku, Azerbaijan – On November 11, 2024, the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP29) opened in Baku, Azerbaijan, which is expected to host over 50,000 participants. As a member of Green Car Park of COP29, NIO provides premium mobility services for heads of state and government, as well as distinguished guests from around the world.

NIO’s EL8, ET7 and EL6 are used for the mobility service. As the most iconic products from NIO’s premium smart EV lineup, these three models provide smart, comfortable and green mobility experiences for participants, contributing to the COP29’s vision for a green and low carbon conference. NIO’s Co-Founder and President Qin Lihong has been invited to deliver a keynote speech themed Blue Sky Coming: Shaping the Future of Smart EV at Azerbaijan Pavilion of COP29 on November 15.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference has been held annually since its first meeting in 1995 in an effort to advance the global response to climate change. This year, the conference, which brings together leaders from governments, businesses and civil society, continues to focus on the implementation of the goals of the Paris Agreement to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions through international cooperation.
