What's New with NIO in August ?

NIO Delivered 20,176 Vehicles in August, Hitting 20,000 for Four Consecutive Months, Over 300,000 ES6 & EC6 Delivered Cumulatively

In August 2024, NIO delivered 20,176 vehicles. The deliveries consisted of 11,923 premium smart electric SUVs, and 8,253 premium smart electric sedans. NIO delivered 128,100 vehicles year-to-date in 2024, increasing by 35.8% year-over-year. Cumulative deliveries of NIO vehicles reached 577,694 as of August 31, 2024.

2 NIO Houses Opened Globally, 87 Power Swap Stations and Power Charger Stations in July

In August, NIO opened 2 NIO Houses globally and 43 Power Swap Stations, and 44 charging stations. As of August 31, NIO has 161 NIO Houses across the globe, and has built 2,552 Power Swap Stations worldwide, with 837 of them on expressways in China. NIO has built 3,989 Power Charger Stations and 23,256 chargers, and connected to 1,638,000+ third-party chargers, and has offered power swap services to users beyond 51 million times in total. NIO has launched 78 Power Journeys routes in China and two routes in Europe.

NIO Hosted Power UP 2024

On August 20, 2024, NIO hosted Power UP 2024 in Wuhan, Hubei Province. At the event, NIO shared its "Power Up Counties" plan and the "Power Up Partner" plan staring from the Chinese market, as well as its latest recharging technologies and application.

NIO Power also announced that it would double down on investment in Wuhan, to further strengthen its R&D, manufacturing and operations of the charging and swapping network, energy internet, and other key areas. NIO Power will establish its new headquarters in the Optics Valley in Wuhan where NIO Power will also build a new factory with an installed capacity of over 1,000 Power Swap Stations.

On August 30, Qin Lihong, Co-founder and President of NIO, held a press conference at the NIO booth during the Chengdu International Auto Show, officially announcing the launch of the 318 Sichuan-Tibet Power Journeys Route.

Power Up Counties Plan Unveiled

On August 20, NIO announced the Power Up Counties plan to expand the charging and swapping network to counties across China, with the aim of providing convenient, efficient and extensive services.

Power Up Partner Plan Launched

On August 20, NIO Power announced the Power Up Partner plan, with which NIO invites all partners to jointly build and share the profit of charging and swapping stations. At the event, the first Power Up Partners signed cooperation agreements with NIO Power to jointly expand the recharging network for NEVs.

Banyan 3.0.0 Released

On August 28, NIO released Banyan 3.0.0, with eight brand new NOMI experiences powered by AI, PanoCinema, 4D Smart Suspension, NIO Link, and driving & riding improvements covering over 130 new experiences and optimizations.

J.D. Power 2024 Awards: NIO Is the Only New Energy Vehicle Company to Win the Title for Six Consecutive Years

On August 15, 2024 J.D. Power New Energy Vehicle Executive Forum & Award Ceremony was held in Hangzhou. NIO ES8, ES6, ET5, ET5T won the first place in their respective market segments. This is the sixth consecutive year that NIO has won the first place in its segment in J.D. Power's Initial Quality Study since 2019, and it is also the only new energy vehicle company to win the championship for six consecutive years.

NIO Topped J.D. Power 2024 China New Energy Vehicle Customer Experience Value Index

On August 29, NIO achieved the highest score of 798 points (on a 1,000-point scale) in the New Energy Vehicle Customer Experience Value Index according to the J.D. Power 2024 China New Energy Vehicle Customer Experience Value Study(SM) (NEV-CXVI).

NIO Became Official Car Brand of CIIE Again

On August 6, China International Import Expo Bureau announced that NIO has become a supporting enterprise and the official car brand of the 7(th) China International Import Expo (CIIE). Following the 6th CIIE, NIO ET7 has once again been selected as the official car for CIIE and will provide high-level, high-quality mobility experiences for exhibitors from all over the world.

First Mass-Produced ONVO L60 Rolled off the Line

On August 15, the first mass-produced ONVO L60 rolled off the line in NIO Factory Two in Hefei and was put to the test immediately with 36-day livestreaming covering 20,000 kilometers, adding to the durability test which has reached 6.77 million kilometers.
