Parisian Challenge Next for NIO as Formula E Arrives in France
Les Invalides in the heart of Paris hosts the French round of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship this coming Saturday 27th April, where NIO will be as determined as ever to finish the race in points-paying positions.
For NIO’s Tom Dillmann, of course, round eight of the season marks his home event and the driver from Mulhouse in France will be hoping for plenty of partisan support around the 14 corner, 1.93 kilometre street circuit.
Team-mate Oliver Turvey has two points finishes under his belt so far in Season 5, with a best result of eighth place at the Santiago E-Prix in Chile back in January, and the British racer is hungrier than ever to get back inside the top 10.
Qualifying, as always in Formula E, will be key and NIO is targeting performance in the grid-determining session as a real priority in order to give the best chance possible to score points with both cars in the ultra-popular Paris E-Prix.

“I am looking forward to racing in Paris, it’s amazing to race in the heart of this iconic city around Les Invalides. The track is narrow, bumpy and technically challenging so qualifying will be important as always. The team and I have been working hard in the simulator preparing for the event so I will be pushing hard to get back into the points.”

“The Paris E-Prix is my home race, so I am really looking forward to it. Racing around such an historic monument is always exciting and challenging. It is a proper street circuit and quite tricky. I made my debut in Formula E in Paris during Season 3 and scored points straight away, so my goal will be to achieve the same for NIO this weekend.”

Paris has, in the past, not been kind to us in terms of race results but in a season of challenges for the NIO Formula E Team we will continue to focus forwards and apply ourselves to what is likely to be another thrill-packed Formula E race event.”
