The Peninsula Hong Kong Partners NIO for Team’s Home Formula E Race

Globally renowned hotel The Peninsula Hong Kong has today been announced as an official partner of motor racing team NIO for the squad’s ‘home’ ABB FIA Formula E Championship race on Sunday, 10th March.

Rooted in Hong Kong since 1928, the flagship hotel has a long history with Formula E as well as NIO and will now be a key sponsor for the team leading into round five of the 2018/2019 season.

Very much a natural relationship, with The Peninsula Hong Kong and NIO equally focused on delivering sustainable luxury in their respective fields, a special Partnership Evening will take place on Friday, 8th March, for invited guests and media.

The Peninsula Hong Kong hosted NIO’s ‘EPclub’ for owners of the manufacturer’s exquisite and ground-breaking EP9 electric supercar last December. Additionally, the EP9 has previously been part of a central display in the Hong Kong property.

For the upcoming HKT Hong Kong E-Prix, audiences will see NIO drivers Oliver Turvey and Tom Dillmann in the co-branded race cars and race suits in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship race.
