NIO users have completed over 10 million battery swaps. Every 2.8 seconds, one NIO car departs a Power Swap station with a full charge. Ten million power swaps are equivalent to a total mileage of over 1.98 billion kilometers, contributing to around 130,327.5 tons of carbon emissions reductions. This is equivalent to the volume absorbed by 1.17 million fir trees over 30 years. Every swap is a step towards our vision of a blue sky.

On July 4, 2022, at the NIO power exchange station at Shanghai Hongqiao VEG Micro Creative Park, an ES8 marked the 10,000,000th power swap in NIO’s history.

Since 2018, we have welcomed more and more friends to join the NIO user family and provide a rechargeable, swappable and upgradeable energy service system. With the continuous acceleration of the power exchange station, power exchange has become one of the favorite ways for NIO users to power up. The popularity of power swapping has continuously gained momentum. In less than 30 months, we swapped 1 million batteries. Within 20 months, we went from  1 million to 9 million, and within one month, we went from 9 million to 10 million battery swaps. 

The most frequent Power Swap users have swapped 1,364 times. Users with the widest coverage in our power swap network have checked in at 169 stations. And 303 users have been using power swap as their only recharging solution.

At present, the NIO power station provides power exchange services more than 30,000 times a day, equivalent to an average of 2.8 seconds for a NIO to fully charge from the power exchange station, and the power exchange capability of the power exchange station is rapidly improved.
